Bugeye grill question

I'm satisfied with the AH Spares "best" version. That is some nice chrome. The front blade is from them also. My old grill wasn't bad but it wasn't up to snuff either.
It wasn't the cheapest choice, but like I said, I'm satisfied. I have high expectations but I'm easily pleased.
Note the bumper is on upside down in the barn. I didn't notice the subtle difference till I saw this pic after install.
Driveway shot is after flipping the blade.

Knox Custom Chrome will do a great job. Jim is a stickler for detail. Jack Laird had his chrome done there. When I first took my stuff over Jack's was being prepared to ship back to him in Florida. I noticed that the bumperettes had holes in them where a bumper bar had previously been. I asked Jim to hold up on shipping until I could contact Jack to see if it was his intent for the holes to remain. It was not. Jim repaired and rechromed the bumperettes. I believe that Jack was well satisfied with the results as I was with mine.

Yea, Prep for chroming and the process is an art form when your dealing with redo's....great place to leave the greenbacks!!
 
I received both grills back from Knox in pretty short order and to say I'm pleased would be an understatement! The quality of the chrome and the prep work is first class and the price was very good! I'll post pictures after Christmas for y'all to gander at. Merry Christmas everyone!

and the ballpark cost if you don't mind sharing. I passed on a roll at for Bugsy tonight figured I'd rather spend $200 getting grille re chromed. And rollbar with a single foot on each side didn't look exactly safe.
 
Knox Custom Chrome prices for the parts they did for me a few years ago.

Bumper $180
Front overriders $45 each
Rear overriders (bumperettes) $60 each
Grill $180
E-brake handle $45
Dash handle $45
 
Jim, one of mine was $225 and the other $250 since it had more pitting and a poor prep job from a previous rechrome. I will definitely use them again for my other bits...very easy to work with, Jim will call if he has any questions, quality and quick turn around, Merry Christmas to me!

Btw, I will be keeping the grill that fits the best once the bodywork is done and selling the spare. It will be a couple of months before I get to that stage, but both grills are absolutely beautiful! If anyone is interested I'll be posting pictures at a later date.

Very nice! I'll need to to that one of these days, Penny's grille is a little sad. Those two look fantastic.
