Hello,
I installed new stainless steel brake lines in my '60 bugeye. I am missing a number of the clips that hold the line down as it goes underneath the radiator and then underneath the car to the rear. Does anyone know where I can get more of these?
Kevin

I don't remember, Kevin. I think that the ones under the the car to the rear are different. Someone here must know.

If they are what I think they are, they look like a bobby pin about 1 1/2inches long - the open end has enough curve for the brake line so that when it is pushed into the holes in the rails under the car the open end closes on the line and holds it in place.

The other clips grab the edges of the rails in the engine bay and look like this.

JP is showing the clip that goes along the frame rail under the car. The ones under the radiator in a mkI are like the hairpin described earlier.

OK so I can't make the image work. look up part number BRK238. I think that is what you need. (or something very similar)

moss part #582-925. I'm not 100% sure this is correct. Nobody is listing a clip like that for a Sprite, but that is what is in my car.

AH Spares P/N BRK238 is correct. I bought a set from them last year. They are slightly larger than the original for a Bugeye but will work fine.

Go to www.ahspares.co.uk then to the online catalog and do a search for BRK238. They are about $.56 at the current exchange rate.

Jack calls these "hair pins". That's a good description.

When I bought my car, they had little pieces all over the inside of the car. Just to be sure, would this be what you were talking about? This looks like it would work underneath the radiator, and the ones along the bottom of the body would be one of those posted earlier.

Exactly!! You need seven of those, five for the brake line and two for the fuel line. You also need three clips like the photo John-Peter posted for the fuel line as well.

Meanwhile feel free to use plastic ties till you get em sourced.
