TR2/3/3A Brake lights at night?

Hello I was driving home last night and noticed I didn’t have brake lights when my lights were on. The brake lights work without the lights on (like regular day time driving) so I know the pressure switch is good. The bulbs are all pretty new, so I’m not concerned it’s the bulbs.... any thoughts out there?

I do. I think it’s grounded at the front (in the harness) and at the light itself.

Are your taillights the same brightness as the brake lights? If so, the rear fixtures are wired wrong, or the bulbs are in backwards.

Otherwise, my guess is still bad grounds, possibly even between the bulbs and sockets.

Take the lenses off, and check the voltages right on the bulbs. One of the very few advantages of that fixture is that the bulbs are exposed enough to do that.

If you find that both filaments are getting power, but you can't see the difference between both of them and just the tail filament; the wrong filament is coming on for the tail lights. They are intentionally supposed to be much dimmer, so the difference is obvious. But tail plus brake looks the same as just brake.
