I've got to do some work on the Morris' brake lines, and need to do all the lines for the Bugeye. Time to get a brake flaring tool!

Gerard recommended one from Rigid. I was wondering if there were any other recommendations out there.

Almost doesn't matter if you use Cunifer line; it flares easily. OTOH I once made the mistake of buying some pre-flared steel line at FLAPS, and that stuff was nearly impossible to flare successfully. I tried several different tools, finally managed to get a barely acceptable flare using a Snap-On tool kit borrowed from a local garage. Still not pretty, but good enough.

I was just looking at the Fedhill brake line etc. site, and they'll sell your or rent you a 12 pound flaring tool. "$25.00 for the first two weekends,(time in shipping not counted) then $25.00 per week after that, plus $375.00 security deposit. $400.00 will be charged to your credit card. " Doug

What else is needed other than a double and a bubble flare on British cars (Bugeye Sprite)? Hummm, curious minds want to know?

Don't know how or why you had issues, but mine went smooth as silk.
