Brackets to hold top frame on a BE

I had metal repairs done to both sides of the bulkhead on Bugsy II with new metal welded in back there. Isn't there supposed to be a bracket / open pipe of some type back there that the top frame slides into. I think it gets secured somehow on top with a leather strap.

Can someone provide me with pics on what this us supposed to look like and dimensions/ location if possible so I can weld something in back there that is a close facsimile to original. Here's what I've got on both sides after the repair.

They are just little sheet metal boxes with a hole in the top. Also some rubber bumpers to keep them from rattling. Seems like someone posted a pattern once.

Hi, If nobody posts a pic of the little boxes by tomorrow, I'll be able to take one and post it.

Thanks guys. I can't remember what these look like. A pattern would be sweet.

Thanks Rut.

Hope this helps. I still need to paint them.
Paul

Thanks Paul,

It's either fabricate or spend $20.05 each. Anyone got a drawing?

Jim,
I may have an old one at home and will send it to you next week. Mine were in bad shape, but they may be useful for a pattern.
Rut

Thanks Rut. Let me know, I won't be ready for that for a while.

Ray,

how much do you want for them? PM me and we can make a deal.

Ray

thanks for the pics but I don't think I have that bar running across under the back deck. I believe the entire rear clip was replaced at some time in the past prior to ownership by the P.O. Perhaps that wasn't replaced. If not I'm sure I could tack something in place to support a strap. I need to look tomorrow and take some pics of my spelunking in the boot. Thanks again.

Ray,

i want them. I sent you a PM wth address. Let me know how much and I'll put a check in the mail.

Jim, I found an extra bracket if you have additional needs.
Rut

Ray,

Got the brackets this PM in the mailbox when I got home. I'll PM you. Great parts. Thanks for such great service.

Thanks to Ray Evans Bugsy II now has another ex-WhiteFrog part I will be using. Thanks again Ray. Looking for dimensions and distances to correctly mount the top frame brackets. Can anyone provide a mounting picture with dimensions. Thanks.
