Brace up-date
After seeing all the braces everyone is making up for their Blind Moose shock towers, I decided it was time for me to act. Since I have the BPNW tube shock conversion (and was the one that lost my cross member from cracking) and the RATCO new heavy-duty cross member, I decided to go ahead and make mine bullet proof as well. Notice that instead of bolting my brace to the frame and shock tower, I chose to make up a bracket to weld to the frame with a welded-in 3/8" captive nut. Then I welded the top of my brace directly to the shock tower. If I had to ever remove the shock tower, the tower and brace (now one piece) would come off as such because of the angle of insertion. See photo below. Got lots of clean-up and painting but too tired to go any more tonight. Besides, I am getting the evil eye from the wife.....
