While walking the dog this morning I noticed that the clouds had a lovely texture to them and would make for an excellent sunrise photo. After I took the dog back in I dug out my camera, fitted my 18-140 and went outside to await the explosion of color on the bottom of the clouds. I took a few shots, came back in and looked at my photos, and to my horror saw that I had left my camera in monochrome after my last B&W outing. I quickly corrected my mistake and went back outside to make a quick snap. Instead of the lovely soft pinks and oranges the sky was flooded with bright orange and yellow. I took the shot anyway.

Timing is everything. By the way, is there something in the air or do you maybe have a spot on your sensor? Look slightly right of center near the bottom just a couple degrees up. There seems to be a dark spot. At first I thought it was a spot on my monitor.

It's on my lens, and unfortunately it seems to be internal.

Not sure what, if any, photo edit9ing software you use, but many software suites used to edit photos can "edit" such dust particles out.

When I use an editing program, I use Darktable. I have gotten used to it, but removing it would probably make my photos a bit more appealing when I use this lens, which is a lot. I will look into that the next time I am playing around with editing.

If you shot in RAW, the color information should be in there. Going forward, don't use monochrome in camera. Dark table has a color chart that acts as different filters on the lens. So you can play with different effects. Check post #17 HERE to see how the different colors look on a face. It is one more step in keeping controll in your hands.
