not sure if any one else has suggested this but can you get the local vocational school to do at least the body work. maybe clean it up your self after that and send it to a pro painter.
after I put a new garage on the house I will build a paint shop and do all three cars starting with the GT.

in the sixties my cousins would get all their cars done MBTA white, becase they knew a guy down at the Bus depot.
 
Here in Chicago is an amazing organization called the Automotive Mentoring Group. It's mission is to take troubled kids off the street, teach them the various aspects of car restoration, and give them skills to get decent jobs working for body shops, restoration shops, machine shops, etc. They are going to be doing the work on my cars. AMG was featured in Moss Motoring magazine a few issues ago. One of the projects is a TR6, which would have ended up on the scrap pile but is just the sort of project AMG needs. https://automotivementoringgroup.wordpress.com/ When I get a chance, I'll take pictures of the TR6 and the other projects there and post them.
