Was hoping to see any Training Units in the background, but ...
On page 10, post 1571, is a scene from a Norwegian movie, a gangster - comedy from the seventies.
Yes I've noticed that a few BCF members have passed away, sorry for the loss.

Well this article is finally available, in part, on the "Mini/BMC Experience" website [ https://bmcexperience.com.au ] [Magazine name was changed at the beginning of this year] The actual article can be found at https://bmcexperience.com.au/issue-29/mobile-service-training-units.html
No author is given so I have no idea who wrote it. The portion of the article that is available is a neat, but brief, history of the BMC Mobile Training Units.

This Unit is "on the run" !!

It has been moved from it's "nests" at the "Wheal Kitty" mine near St.Agnes, Cornwall UK, where it has been parked for some years.
A lot of mining in that area, its probably not to far away.
Have anyone seen it ???

It had been registered in the UK as 1 VAR in 4/63 so I have always assumed it was expected to return, though there was never any sign that it did. Looks like it stayed in the US and has miraculously survived nearly 50 years. Amazing. It would easily be worth the shipping costs to bring it back and reclaim the '1 VAR' registraton.....-</span>

The Norwegian Unit is once again up for sale.
In lack of brakes, due to some air leaks in the Hydroboost system.
The chassis is from a 1968 Ford D550 truck.
Take a good look at the pictures, what you see is what you get !!!

Bring your flatbead truck, and haul it home.
The bus measures about 9 meters long, 2,50 wide and nearly 3 meters high.
The weight is about 5 tons.
It is located in the city of Steinkjer, about 600 km north of Oslo.
