They've been tearing up the cardboard boxes in the staorage trailer but I didn't know where the next was for months. Two days ago I pulled the door down ont the trailer and the box nest almost landed on my head.
Doc, it's not their fault. City hall changed the building codes. :hammer: Besides, since you cut the grass and cleaned up the yard, they may have lost their building supplies.
I know you said Mitz can whip up some mean peasant grub, how's she on squirrel stew?
Speaking of blow guns and pests....
I have a friend who had possums eating the cat's food on his porch. He lives in the city. No can discharge a firearm without
the boys in blue paying a visit.
I suggested a blow gun.
He buys a nice one and waits.
Possum...big un...appears.
He promptly sends a 10 penny nail size dart right through the head of the pest. Two more to the body for good measure.
He then picks the dead possum up by the tail and carries
it to the trash bin.
When he lifts the bin lid and starts to lower the critter
he discovered what the expression "Playing Possum" is all
about.
It swung up and latched to his forearm.
He said he screamed like a girl and flung it as far as
his reflex allowed and went inside.
Next morning it was lying in the yard. He pumped a few more in for good measure. Poked it with a stick, got a shovel and put it in the trash bin.
I had problems with squirrels building their nest under the hood of my P/U truck and chewing up the wiring. Can't shoot 'em here either, nor poison them.
Found that a coffee can holding some moth balls placed in the engine compartment seemed to dissuade their homesteading urges in this area.
Had a squirrel problem a few years ago when they were chewing the rubber propane lines on our travel trailer that attached to the tanks. I replaced with new and they did the same to them. I solved the problem when I painted the lines with Tabasco sauce. Evidently they weren't into southern style foods, as they never came back. PJ
Doc, I FEEL for you with the squirrel damage. But somehow the idea of you with a blowgun puts an image of a bushman with a bone through his nose and squirrel pelts for skivvies in my head!
PLEASE DO NOT post ANY pictures of you attired in such a fashion.....PLEASE?!!
I think you'll find THIS an adequate means of eliminating your current dilemna!
