Blowgun comin' back out!

hey, it's killing me just imagining doc in a kilt... the squirrels have every right to be frightened.

Well, I know I've hidden my plaid skirts...If he wants to wear a kilt he'll have to fabricate one out of the plaid blankets stashed in the closet.
...and don't forget to put the scissors back.

As for the squirrels, I think I saw one running around in a blue jumpsuit.

Made 'em as kids. Granf'ar was a NatGeo lifetime member and we saw 'em in th' books, went out an' whittled. Quite a lesson in physics, actually. Not nearly as accurate as this blow gun tho.

And I have to be aware of what's down range. An errant acorn is a lot less damaging/incriminating than a shaft with feathers on it. "He shot me with an acorn!" sounds kinda lame, IYSWIM.

OK, not an LBC but interesting squirrel issues

If you see him wearing a plaid coat,a funny hat &
singing "I'm a Lumberjack & I'm OK" - Run!

Ground squirrel????? I don't think so. Rat yes; squirrel no. Squirrel won't build a nest that low.

Why?

One word.....dog.

Um...Doug......Doc was the INSPIRATION for that skit!! Monthy Python was a bunch of unknowns. Then one day, a friend said, "I know this guy....." and the rest is history!

(But don't tell Doc I told you, ok??!)

Peter,

That makes me think of the cartoon "The Far Side",
where they show a rattlesnake,a bear,& a "lumberjack" -
(with a gun).Caption is "Things that you don't mess with".

Allow me to clarify, I'm talking about the nest in the vid, not Doc's yard.

A length of electrical conduit, nail with a masking tape cone on back, and the nozzle of your trusty air compressor stuck up the back end (of the conduit). Now that's a blow gun with an attitude.
When I worked in a cabinet shop, an electrician on a job site taught us that trick, using sheetrock screws. The cabinet shop was a dangerous place to be for MONTHS after that. Those things hit hard, even without the air compressor. I've still got a lovely length of .50 caliber copper water pipe in the garage, with a slight flare on the end. It's deadly accurate -- and cost me QUITE a bit less than the kits Silverghost referenced. I think it was scrap from a job site. I did get one good idea from that page, though. The ten-penny nail dart, with the tip hammered flat and ground sharp, looks like some serious squirrel skewer.

Which tartan?? I think the Navy has their own. Wasn't he a sailor when he was photoing???

I BEG YER PARDON, Mr. MacPherson!!

I was ~AIR FORCE~!!!

*sheesh*

...bloody squids....

:jester:

Knew that would get a rise out of ya!

Yeah, neither one bloused their trousers. As far as tartans registered to the AirForce, dunno. I know the Corps and the Squids have registered patterns...

Still would be nice to see you in a picture wearing a kilt... I can see it now "Rob Roy McEntropy"... Playin the pipes.... :hammer:
