blow by oil pressure causes oil to leak out of the dip stick tube.

Any suggestions to stop this? I have had all other leak points repaired, widened the dip stick at the top to tighten it, installed a spring on dipstick to hold it in place. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Are you using a PCV Valve??

The only time I experienced this with a good engine is when I was running a PCV and at speed.

With the engine running, how much blow-by / pressure are you getting when you remove the oil filler cap?

Have you performed a leak-down test? Best done when the engine is stinking hot, after a good run, not merely warmed up in the driveway.

How do How do I do a "leak-down test"? How do I determine how much blow by with oil filler cap off? Thanks:tennis:

Not running a PVC valve. Could this issue be a symptom of a more serious problem with the engine? thanks

Yes worn or broken rings.

However oil flowing out of the hose to carbs when disconnected, suggests that the metal "T" connector is screwed down too far into the valve cover sucking oil of the baffle inside the cover?

No one has asked the obvious question .....what does the exhaust smoke look like , grey black ?? lots a little ?

True, but blowing the dipstick out of the block trumps smoke...OH my Goodness Yes!!!--

I had this problem with a Sprite. When the head was lifted, I found a crack clean across one of the pistons.
