I have a new bottom gasket (rubber) that goes along the bottom of the windshield the entire length and seals against
the front shroud. Has anyone replaced one and how do I get the lower chrome piece off in order to replace it?

The only wat to do it is to remove the entire windshield assembly from the door jambs. Then you can lay it down on your workbench and remove the old seal and install the new one.

Hello dancrim,

Besides removing the bolts from the two posts, there should be one bolt in the inside of the windscreen. You'll see it when you remove the wood dash top. If you don't see it there, then it's missing....duh.

To make sliding the new rubber in the slot easier, use liquid dish soap. You'll thank me later.
