BJ8 Carpet Padding

OK so I have seen all kinds of padding for carpets. I am replacing my carpets on my BJ8. I used the jute padding from Heritage on my 100. If I remember correctly it was about 1/4" or 3/8"? I am going to use Dynamat on the floor pans. What is a good padding to use?

Thanks,
Tod

When I redid my BT7 a few years ago, I installed Hushmat, then a layer of bubble wrap with foil on both sides followed by the carpet which had about 3/8" padding attached. The whole system was about 3/4" thick. While I may have lost some interior space the reduction in cockpit heat was well worth it.

Heres my 67 before the main carpet sections went in . Thats the jute from Victoria British over everything including the tunnel . Under that is that sticky rubberized foil backed heat blocker stuff . It goes from right up the front of the footboxes
all the way to the rear kickpanel .
