I have a head, stored inside for many years, that appears to be in good condition visually. Is it worth anything? Should I have a machinest certify its condition to enhance its value? Should I have it rebuilt before I offer it for sale?

Since so many 100 heads are cracked I don't think you will find many takers without its being professionally crack-tested

Michael. Thank you for your note. Personally I would have to be desperate to buy one with out testing. What about if it's good enough to rebuild? I wouldn't want to just spin my wheels and end up spending more than it's worth. Any thoughts on a rebuild value?

When you say if it's "good enough to rebuild" I assume you mean if it were to be crack-free, and I'm sure there might be customers out there who would want to buy an iron head for lots less than an AL one. They'd also probably be customers for a crack-free bare head.

Sell it as a bare head. Many would prefer to have the work done by the shop of their choice.
