The chips were spread while the 'paint' was still thick and wet. With the method used he had to walk about on the wet floor.

Doing all the chips at once (rather than in sections as you paint) got a very uniform look.

The pros work really fast but still it takes 4 visits over 4 days to finish the job and then wait a few days before you can walk on it and more days before you can drive.

Gordon:

I did the epoxy on a new floor with the flakes. I waited about three weeks before I put on the epoxy finish. It really looked good for several months and then I started seeing dark spots on it. I think I didn't wait long enough for the contrete too cure. At any rate, it looks like crap now. I'm wondering if I should have put a sealer on before applying the epoxy. Good luck with your project.
