Best Rock band ever...

If it was recorded since about 1965 I prob can not hear the lyrics. Seems like the music is to loud on later stuff.

Y'all hird o' Leonyrd Skynyrd? Pink Floyd, the Alman Bros., the Band...eh, the more I type the longer this list'll get, better just "Let it be"! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

My vote would go for Rush. Pre '79 and still going strong.

you fellas forget Bad Co.

Are you guys kidding?

You *really* think anyone's better than ~THESE GUYS~ ?

By the way, they passed on the name "Led Zeppelin", and their pals took it (and yes, Zep is a great band too).

And no one mentioned Aerosmith or The Stones either...weird. Ahh well: To Each, His Own!

My favorite pop music band is The Beatles, but that's a whole different discussion.

The Who is the The World's Greatest Rock N' Roll Band.
Pete Townshend is the King of Volume.
'Nuff said /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif

The other bands in this post are pretty good too.

Hard rock, soft rock, in between rock, a lot of the groups you guys are talking about got their inspiration from what the Stones and The Who did. How about Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton, otherwise known as Cream?
Merry Christmas!!
