Best place for Speakers?

should I be afraid?

The speakers I have in the rear side panels are 5", 60 Watt. I have these in both my 75 and 80 Bs. I'm going to figure out the picture posting thing today and start sending out photos.

There are many likes and dislikes that fall into the "personal opinion" catagory. Music in an MG is obviously one of them. I drive my MGs ALOT and often for many hours on end. As much as I love the note of my dual SU / Falcon SS muffler equipped MGBs, I also like hearing a little "Meatloaf" w/ that gravey every one in a while. "To each his own", "live and let live"... there's a reason why there are tons of cliches like these. At the same time I don't much appreciate the folks who insist upon sharing their particular taste of music with the rest of the world. I am seeing less of this around here, I think it's because they can not talk on their cell phones with the music so loud. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif

Because unlike some of you, I can listen to the sweet sounds of my B and the sweet sounds of Shania at the same time.Newkie

As can most of us but some of us just don't like to but more importantly don't like to hear other people's music.

Just a recommendation but we all have agreed to keep the language on these forums clean.

Ok let's try again

I don't understand?

I believe David wants to show what speakers look like in the side panels behind the seats plus the benefits of Miata seats with speakers.
Nothing wrong with some tunes in the car once in a while, nothing wrong without.

Clean, thats as clean as your going to get on this subject.
My words are only as clean as my mind...
Unless the MG is a concours, I say enjoy it the best way you can. In my book, thats music and the exhaust.

The person who has set up this entire forum has asked that we don't use vulgarity in posts. His forum. His wishes. His rules.

I am simply pointing that out since he has taken a break from the fourm for awhile.

Nice clean location. Easier than cutting permanent holes in the trunk wall.

Thank you Mickey for the edit.

Are those Fiero or Miata seats?

Miata, methinks. I been lookin' at those holes at the top of the rear side panels as a speaker location... not too shabby and as I'm in total agreement with Bruce as to the inappropriate "chopping" of the panel 'twixt cabin and trunk, I may need to reconsider the TieWrap idea.

I have Miata Seats in my Mallard Green (I know color's not stock for this year) 75 B. The second post with an attachment is of my 80 B Carmine Red w/ Gray Interior.

Well, UPS delivered my speakers and CD player today . Can't wait to install them, but that will have to wait for a bit.
I am redoing most of the interior this winter so I'm sure it will sound and look great.
I ended up getting a Blaupunkt am/fm/CD player(Key Largo) and 6 1/2" speakers.
I will be putting the speakers on the side behind the seats. I have found them to be just small enough to fit, so you might want the 5 1/4" instead if your worried about the room.
Great price too. Go to midwestelectronics.com they have the CD player clearanced out at 69.95 and I got the speakers for 34.95.
Not bad for a Blaupunkt.
Anyways, if any of you are looking for a system, check out the site.
