So, I have been having malware issues all week - and just did a scan with Hitman pro. Of course it won't actually delete till I buy it but, it does show the (registry) location of the infected files (see screenshot) can I just go into the registry and delete those files or will that mess me up?

help!

Hi JP - last time I used Hitman, it did all the work necessary - but only once if not registered. If not registered, it wouldn't run constantly - only that one time.

Why not run MalWareBytes instead? no cost.

malwarebytes didn't find any of these
 
1. What other antimalware app are you using?

2. HitmanPro 30 day version is free. Restart in Safe Mode, download and run it. https://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro

3. Not all the things in that list are necessarily "evil".
 
PS - don't just try deleting from your registry. Any "bad" stuff is already on the hard drive, whether it's in the registry or not. Lots of malware renames and reproduces itself anyway.

What about wiping the drive completely out/off? Can you reinstall everything and it will be ok or once it's in, it's in?

The result? I turned off the computer and went to bed. Church this morning (rededicating the sanctuary in my home church) heading home, having a snooze and then may get back to it. :grin:

I may have to - however my computer did not come with disks - so may have to bring it in to the shop

received and returned - thanks! Oh, and, while this may not be what started it - this is what I noticed and, thus far, can't find a way to remove.

 
Can you unckeck that box? If so, do it and restart (in safe mode). Then try control panel "add/remove programs" and see if it is in the "pile."

won't let me uncheck - not in add/remove. SnapDo - from first screen shot is in add/remove and won't met me uninstall it

BTW: Which MS O/S are we looking at here? Kinda assumed Win7 Home...
 
Win 7 indeed - and Tom you better not leave, am counting on your advice - and, just rolled in home so can try to do some stuff now - will keep you posted!

Tom, when I went to use hitman again it said my registration had expired - I don't remember using it but I guess so? anyways will try malwarebytes again.
