I prefer the satin finish on your frame (used it on my frame too but mine is not PC'd).

Saw on your video that you stated it should not rust again but keep in mind that they rust from the inside out so be sure to get the inside coated with waxoyl or similar. I used an Eastwood rustproofing sprayed inside the frame. I bet that undercoating was a pain to remove.

Very nice starting point.
 
See how nice all of those oil leaks preserved the outside of that frame for you? Factory exterior waxoyl by British Leyland.
 
I watched your video, How did you get the frame back to bare metal? grinding, sanding, dipping or blasting?

Very, very nice. Looks like you started off with a great condition frame. Couldn't see in the video, but did/are you boxing in the differential support pins?

I have all the differential support system apart and I am restoring them, if that is what you mean
 
The differential support pins on the IRS Triumph frames are notoriously bad and tend to crack and rip out of the frame. This can be prevented by boxing in the supports (i.e. welding sides onto the cross-members) to prevent them from flexing and failing.

Oh yes I am installing a super charger so I will be doing that
 
Miser, In the vid you rubbed one of the pins up and down like. I know you might hate to mess up the finish in those 4 areas now, but no better time to do it with such good access, and before they get damaged. Reinforcing them as Justin described above not only gives peace of mind, but if ever in the future you modify the engine for more hp or performance, your differental mounts will be up to the task. Solid investment all around - great selling feature too if that ever happens.

Very nice looking! How much does it cost to powdercoat a whole frame?

You will want to run a tap or die on all of the threads as powder coating will add material in those areas that will make it hard to install nuts and bolts.

Clean them up and then, perhaps, add a light coating of rust encapsulator.

The frame looks GREAT!

They charged me $1200 but that included many parts including the wheels and convertible top that will be delivered to me on Tuesday. Also I did order the kit to reinforce the differential bolts from Moss.

Do search over on 6-Pack. Probably alot of guys have documented or talked of this modification over the years.
 
Have done this 3x now on the two TR6 and TR4a and am local if you want some coaching on it. Much easier to do now unless you are looking to experience hot weld fragments dropping on your face. Expect some minor trimming on the Moss kit. I ended up just making mine reinforcements from thicker stock on the two later cars.

Also, and the guys said get some coating inside the frame before putting her back together.

Now I'd also the time to reinforce the front gussets if that hasn't been done. Also much easier with the frame off.
