Looks really good.

Looks just fine to me. I'd like one?

Jack,if you would check or I need to find out what thread your bleeder port is I can make one up for you, maybe Frank C or Peter C would know for sure ? what thread your BE is my Midget is 3/8-24 if its the same its no problem I can duplicate them for about $50 for the hose/fittings if you need a bracket I think they were less than a dollar let me know Mark by the way I love that red interior

Think Sprites and Midgets to Sprite HAN6-20544 and Midget to GAN1-13554 all the same.

If any of the group would know the clutch bleeder port sizes of different years (which goes with what) please let me know thanks

Looks good.

I've also seen them made of hardlines and attached to the engine. I'm going to make mine from braided hose and attach it to the body tub.

I recently replaced an old slave cylinder with a newer one (same bore size), and they had different size bleeders (I can't remember the sizes though)

Trevor where are you going to attach to the tub? did you use a bracket of some sort to attach the hose? how long is/did you make it getting as many ideas as possible I would like to sell some of these I thought about steel braided hose also it was a little more $ still in development stages you know

These can be bought someplace for $35, forget where. Been a bit.

Jlaird, were they rubber or the steel braided hose style did they come w/without bracket, bleeder screw? market research you know??

The ones I saw for sale were the hard line versions. Like Jack, I do not remember where I saw the ad.

I do not know where I'm going to attach mine yet, but I have a datsun gearbox so it will be on the left side.

BTW I have a flexible bleed line on my midget and it is "zip tied" back out of the way. It only gets used once a year so... no big deal.

I was afaid of the hard line version due to vibration breakage and such think I would trust something that would give a little more for long run would you agree?

I think the soft line is better, but it may cause a softer pedal. If the line is short and high quality, it probably won't make much difference.

Trevor, how is a bleeder hose going to affect the pedal?????
Incidentally, mine have a stainless hose running from the slave over to a hard line, up to the bleed fitting.
Jeff

If the line is of poor quality it may reduce the pressure exerted in the slave. Granted... it would need to be a long flimsy hose, but if the flexible supply line is already weak then you could be compounding a problem you are trying to cure.

metal or flex lines are both utilized throughout both brake and clutch systems without having an effect on the pedals. I do not think it should be a concern!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Trevor, the flex hose is the bleed hose. It's isolated from the rest of the system and is only used for bleeding purposes. Or are you referring to the short hose on later cars that connects to the pressure side of the slave?
Jeff
