OK, I'll concede that it probably doesn't make much difference unless you buy really crappy hose. However, I was thinking that since you are moving the bleeder to the top of the line that it is under pressure every time the clutch is pressed. What am I missing here?
 
Trevor, my bad. A thousand apologies. I wasn't thinking about the bleeder being at the top of the hose, so the hose is a potential expansion chamber. Sometimes I can be a little thick. I plead a bad cold and excessive medication.
I still run a hard line to mine.

Jeff, I was thinking like you, but realized that there will be pressure in the line if the bleeder is moved to the remote end away from the slave! Nevertheless, it should make no difference at the pedal and either type of hose should be able to handle the pressure (that's what they are made for!) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Thanks all for throwing this around, mine is made of brake quality hose w/crimped ends it should be ok,still need the bleeder port sizes if any can help?
 
Nobody on the Forum knows any other bleeder thread sizes for the clutch slave how about of British makes?
