battery fire

Yeah, well that fella would be about 120 by now.
 
This is probably long after the fact as your question from 2015 about Tucker Madawick was at the end of the string that Vette just sent us back to.

But if you're still sitting on the fence I know Tucker pretty well as he also races an Elva Courier and has developed some good upgraded hubs and axles that have served me well. I'd say you would be in good hands and he is a straight shooter.
 
Off topic, and referring to Braindoc2be's photo of his fire damaged boot (sorry, trunk) I have to ask: can you get your wheels tight enough to with that wooden gadget and a rubber mallet?

Everyone is assuming the battery terminal shorted to ground. Before I would drive that
car with a new battery, I would use a voltmeter across the battery with the motor running
at 2500 RPM and verify the regulator isn't allowing a charge voltage above 14V. If it does
it could cause the battery to overheat and explode just like this. I have seen regulator
points weld and do exactly this.......just a suggestion.

Just a reminder that the fire happened about a year and a half ago. Brent doesn't seem to check in all the time, last time was August. So you may not get a reply.
