Bathroom project - slow progress, but progress

I'm in the fabricate an extension camp. I think it will be an easy job.
 
Do the sinks have a overflow?? Make sure the drain and the sinks match. Most faucets come with a drain for a overflow sink.
If you put a overflow drain on a non overflow sink.....it will leak alot.... ask me how I know

Yes the sink has an overflow.

The electrician came yesterday and installed a couple of new outlets and also the wiring for my new over vanity lighting. This includes two receptacles that will be behind my LED illuminated mirrors. Also, my new bidet arrived the day before and I have now got it hooked up to the toilet, but the toilet is not yet hooked up to the plumbing.

I need to redo the plumbing for the vanity, which I hope to do in the next couple of days. The next step will be to repair the drywall where they had to cut out the drywall to do the electrical and also the drywall I had to cut out for the plumbing. That’s going to be my least favorite thing to do, but I know it has to be done.

PS: I also had a windowsill made from the same stone that I had my vanity top made. It looks a lot better than a plain wooden windowsill. I’m also going to be trimming out that window with the same faux marble that I have trimmed out the shower window with. I’m hoping it will look good, but we’ll see.

We had our shower upgraded to a larger glass-enclosed walk-in at a cost of $16,000. Everything done by contractors today is costly. Save big bucks if you have the skills to do it yourself.
 
I see a lot of commercials for bathroom remodeling and even just tub replacement with walkin showers. They talk about up to 5-6 year payment plans for what guarantee to be a 1 or 2 day replace. I've suspected we're talking large amounts of cash to do this, like buying a lower end, these days, new car.

Had my full bathroom gutted and redone back before the pandemic, including replacing all the plumbing in the wall behind it since it was old and starting to leak at joints, plus a new vanity in the half bath. Got rid of all the 1960s lime green tile as well for them. When all said and done then, paid about $13k. Thought it was expensive then, but when I look at today's costs, not so much.

I have about $12,000 in for -sure costs, but estimate my total will be somewhere between $14-$16,000 in materials and tools, plus a couple things I had to contract out like electrical work and installing my large glass block window. All other work, such as demolition, re-tiling shower, leveling and tiling floor, installing new Vanity (including plumbing, etc) I have done myself. I shudder to think what it would have cost without my sweat equity.
 
I am so old ... I remember when we bought a brand new two bedroom one bath single car garage house for $6000.

Didn't even require any fancy dancy paperwork. Just a few stone tablets ...

I have paid for a car,more than twice what my parents paid for their by level home in 1969.
