Baby Vitaloni mirrors/new paint/tires and Konigs

I snuck in a new set of 16"X7" Konig Silver Rewinds and 205/60/16 Falken Tires.

These are the mirrors that caused a lot of "comments", both pro and con, when I posted a picture in it's sliver color, prior to installation. They have since been painted to match the body and the view is great on both sides. I really like the look even though others may not, but that's OK. To each his own.

Tomorrow they will buff and wax the car for me and clean the interior from any dust prior to delivery. I went over tonight and shampooed the engine down myself with a big soft horsehair brush and Mothers car wash and then dried it all off, so that no paint dust would stick to the chrome or new engine paint.

you were right, they look great. In fact I didn't even notice them in the photo you attached on the ebay 25K tr6 thread. I guess that coin has two sides, but I think if something doesn't get noticed, but still looks great then the design is a success. my 2cents.

Thanks Mike. The important thing now is that I can see without having to get out a screwdriver everytime my wife or I switch driving the car.

Beautiful! Great color, wheels look fantastic... yeah! But Paul... tell the truth now... do you really let your wife drive that beauty, or is that the line you used to get those great looking mirrors...

Re: Baby Vitaloni mirrors/new paint/tires and Koni

This car is the reason the country is in a financial crisis. Brosky has caused the insurance company to take so much money out of the banking sector to fix his car, it has collapsed! Brosky's car repair and the banking collapse/bailout/rescue at the same time is NO coinsidence, believe it. LMHO

Looks great Paul!

Hi SearcherMan,

You may be right but I believe its "Dales" car that has caused all this commotion!

Paul; She looks Outstanding!

Re: Baby Vitaloni mirrors/new paint/tires and Koni

Searcher, you are close, but the insurance didn't cover all of this. They were fair and paid for the damage that the adjuster saw and did cover the complete paint job, but I had to pay for the additional fender, moldings, etc. and a bunch of stuff that was extra above the normal repaint work.

The wheels have been sitting in my garage since the day after the accident. I ordered them from Discount Tire two weeks before the accident. They arrived that Monday and I had to look at them every day for two months, waiting for this to be completed.

Wedge, she started this whole thing when she bought it new in 1974. She can handle it pretty well, but is a little scared of the new power from the worked over engine. By mid summer next year she'll be used to it and I may never get the keys back.

Paul, your mirrors are schweet indeed.

Would youd kindly post a link to the supplier.
Maybe your supplier won't charge me profiteering
postage rates.

thanks,

dale

Nice, Paul, very nice. I like the mirrors now that they are body color. They definitely look like they belong.

Re: Baby Vitaloni mirrors/new paint/tires and Koni

Dale,

I purchased the Baby Turbo #57583 model in silver for painting after receipt. The glass is actually tinted and non glare, which will help keep those blindingly high intensity SUV & Beemer lights from glaring back in my face at night.

This is the home site, but I got mine on eBay for about $40.00 less for the pair, or $120 for the pair, plus shipping from California.

Dang You Paul!!

At least warn us with a blurb in the title, something like BIB REQUIRED before looking at the pictures.

Now, I've got all this drool I need to clean off of my keyboard.....

Great looking, sir...

Re: Baby Vitaloni mirrors/new paint/tires and Koni

you might have converted me over, very nice

Re: Baby Vitaloni mirrors/new paint/tires and Koni

I just came back from a ride out on the highway at lunch time and the mirrors are great. So easy to adjust and plenty of vision versus the old mirror.
