I haven't seen that photo for 30+ years. That's the Bugeye that I traded to parts counter guy Tom Colby at the Austin Healey Store in So Cal (before he got involved with Speedwell Engineering) for his 65 big Healey in 1982/83. Tom wanted to go racing and I wanted something normal. We traded pinks as they say. He would send me racing photos from time to time. That was one fun fast car.
The funny thing is Rick's blue Healey is a close match to the one Tom gave to me.
IIRC that picture was from a calendar for the Austin-Healey Store. Got to know Tom when I was ordering parts for my bugeye resto right about the time you swapped cars. Great guy.
The dog's expression says "OK you got the picture ... get back in and DRIVE"
Like to think she ended up with a British car guy!

Nah, she looked like she had standards.![]()
You know...I just can't stop thinking about the young lady clothed only in bug eye roll bar. She looks like she would have been lots of fun! Back in those days I appreciated uninhibited girls! Wonder if any So Cal guy's know anything else of her story?
