I saw a tired old Aston Martin V8 or DBS in a small shoppers carpark. It had seen better days. A few scrapes and scratches, one of the overriders was held on with gaffa tape and the drivers seat leather was split. Also the alloys were heavily corroded.
What surprised me more was the driver. As I was walking back to my car I noticed an tiny old guy, must have been 90 if he was a day, almost doubled over with age, shuffling along with a walking stick, walking down the road. By the time I had loaded my car and was heading for the car park exit I saw him climbing into the drivers seat. Makes me wish I had stopped and talked to the guy. I wonder now if he had the car from new. Only goes to show, once you get that dream car they are very hard to let go of.
