ARP bolts

ARP instructions for "stretching" the bolts says to torque the rod bolts to 50 lbs and release 2 times and leave at 50 the 3rd time. The books says that the rod cap bolts need to be torqued to 40 lbs. Which should I go with? Do I go with factory or do I go with ARP?

Also, make sure you carefully read the ARP instructions on proper lubrication of the bolts, as the torque specs will vary depending on the lubricant used.

50 ft. pounds is correct, follow the ARP instructions. I've probably installed about a hundred sets.

As Jeff said, follow ARP and use the lubricant they recommend and sell.
