Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

Re: Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

I totally missed this as well -- been working *way* too hard lately. Gettin' ready to sign up for gold. Basil, thank you so much for this amazing resource!

Could this be Basil's real name and that Basil is just
a fictious name? No offense, Basil. If it were true,
maybe he wouldn't really want us to know.

I tried and I tried, but got stuck in a PayPal loop in which I had to enter a new password. I would do so, and it said that I had done it successfully, but then I had to do it again.

Isn't there another way to pay besides PayPal?

Hey, I appreciate this. Every time I use PayPal, I can't remember the
password. PayPal sucks.

Re: Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

With regards to paypal: You can always write down your passwords. I know, sounds silly, but it's actually more secure than forgetting and having it emailed to whomever might be listening to your unencrypted email connection.

I keep my passwords in my Wallet, on the back of a business card. That way it's just as secure as your credit card.

With the plethora of sites requiring some form of identification and password sign-on, keeping them all in my head just got to be impossible.

Back on topic, I'm Gold. Without this site to assist in the frame off, I'm not sure if I would have agreed to take it on.

"YES"

Re: Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

Yep, I've gone for gold, too! For less than the price of membership to a UK Triumph club I have advice, comradeship and entertainment whenever I want it. Thank you Basil and everyone else who I have conversed with.
Now, how do I set up my Blog?

I know that Basil posted information about the future of the Forum(s) and what he decided to do going forward, based on feedback from many, many members.

I almost missed the "Subscriptions" option in "My Stuff" until last night, when I promptly signed up for the year.

Is everyone one else officially joining (as many said that they would), so that we can keep this great thing going? :winner1:

bump!!

Re: Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

OK Peter, having just lost my Mother in Law to a 23 year battle with cancer, I'll take your challenge and sponsor them as well for $10 per mile.

Basil, please post a link to NAMI and I'm in.

Re: Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

I am one of those infrequent users as I have time constraints. The free service would cover my needs but not subscribing would not be in keeping with the spirit of this site and the work put in by Basil. For the help I've recieved I've signed up for Silver.
Thanks all!

Re: Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

Just catching up here.

I think I have to agree with PeterK here. I really am not too keeen on the whole star rating thing.

The school our kids attend has a lot of fund raising, and list the families - by class - that have contributed to their Annual Fund. I was a bit off-put by this - seemed like an inverse of the "Scarlet Letter" to me, somehow shameing those who did not contribute into doing so. In a fit of non-conformity, we agreed to donate ONLY if it was listed as an anonymous contribution.

Perhaps we could do something similar here. I am happy to pitch in, and not free-load on Basil's good graces, but would rather be listed as just a "member", or not have any postscript at all if that was possible. Don't want to sound whiney, but its just a thought.

Rob.

I'm now a proud subscriber happy to help keep this great resource going on.

Re: Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

"Locks of Love" is a great institution. Horsemits has been a repeated contributor. I personally couldn't get three hairs together in mass formation.

As for contribution to the BCF, you can contribute in any manner you wish. Remaining anony-mouse is certainly an option. PayPal ain't th' only way... [self-censored]

sheesh.

Re: Are you signed up for a "subscription" yet??

I've had Pay Pal for the past 3.5 years with over 500 transactions & have NEVER had any problem with these services.

True there are other ways to send money, I just find pay pal is a very secure and reliable service!

What does internet service cost in the states?
I pay $80 a month here on the island.

If I can afford the cost of internet, I certainly can afford
to kick some $$ to help out basil and the BCF.

Ain't it the truth, Kodanja

My total package runs around $160 a month; TR car repairs have
averaged $1,600 per month for two years. Think what it might
have cost me without the forum knowledge base!!

The forum has saved me tens of thousands of dollars.
( or a trip to The Crusher.) Plus I've gotten to meet some really
fine folks and even broke bread with a few here on island.

Heck! I tip the young lad who bags my groceries around $100 per year.
$1 per trip to the grocery store, twice a week shopping.
