are all folding top frames the same

John-David, The folding top (frame attached to the car) started in 1967, and I think they will all interchange. There were only minor improvements or changes made to the top after 67.

Moss shows different tops for different years - not sure how that impacts the frame though

I think the different tops are because they made some changes, like switching to velcro hold down instead of turnbuckles at the forward "B" attachment point in around 1970. The changes shouldn't affect the frame though.

All the folding top frames are the same except for the color which went from gray to black in 68.
Same frame from 67-79

This is the typical break point for that type of frame. I've repaired two of them over the years using the method shown in the photos. It's easy if you can weld.

Yep that my exact problem, felt like it might be repairable, when I get a new mig with gas I might just fix it. any ideas why they all break here, will the other side do the same?

thanks for shared repair
