Hi Ross
I did the rebuild myself, only sent the head out to Cylinder Head World (based on location - just a few miles away from me in central NJ), and he also cleaned the passages in the block for me - I was lucky to have no real wear in the bores, so just went with new rings.
I know there is a machine shop in Sayreville where someone on a mailing list got his TR6 engine done (Eddie's Speed Shop, I think). The TR6 guy seemed happy, but I have a friend who drives a Snap On truck, and he had some bad things to say about that particular machine shop. And no, he won't give me a discount on Snap On tools - some friend, right?
Cheers
Alistair
