Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

LOL, what a deal, excellent price. Should sell quickly.

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Awesome Bill - yes it's definitely a good driver - I hope you get what you're asking!

I seem to have a bunch of pictures of it driving behind and in front of my car.

Here it is - the orange one:

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Bill does this mean your other one is ready? - pics please.

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

This means Bill is getting ready to move to So Cal.

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Bill in SoCal, no way!
Whats up w/ that?
Inquiring minds want details.
Is the orange crate a Midget or Sprite this week? Good luck either way

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

I am finally (after 27 years of forced removal) returning home to San Diego!! It is strange what you will do to be employed!
I retired this last summer so now I can finally see the sun again.
We are planning to move there next April and need to get ready- I already moved my MGA there last month but two more toy cars are a bit much- the '69 Sprite is part of the family so the Orange Crate is the logical one to go.
I put an offer in on a house when I was there and hope to hear if it is accepted this week.
The Orange Crate is now back to being a Midget (as it really is) for the sale.

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

"crate" as in wooden box or "crate" as in deadly snake?

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

The Krait, one of the deadliest snakes on the globe. Krait, rhymes with night... or fright. Get bitten by one of them and your chances of living are slim, real slim. Best of luck with the car, and welcome back!

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Called 'em "Two-step Charlie" back-in-the-day. Ya get two steps to decide which direction you fall down an' die... :eeek:

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Ah Bill, you ought to keep it just for nostalgia!! Surely you can use cheap transportation in SD.

Kurt.

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

wow I'm jealous!
I love San Diego(and I hate Seattle too)! I lived there for around 10 years. Abosutely beautiful! We'll miss having you around here.

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Welcome back to the South, Bill! Even if it is on the West Coast. You will be sorely missed in the NW. What will all the O Spridget Handymen In Transit meetings be like without you. Congrats on the retirement buddy. Please IM your address. I get down to SD a couple of times a year and might need parts!

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Will you be keeping "Morris Service" alive in San Diego?

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

No- I never acquired "Morrisservice", only the inventory of it (it is mostly all gone now).
Gerrard is the closest thing to someone who acquired the business.

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

But weren't you manufacturing a kit of your own design as well? Are you going to keep that up?

Re: Anyone need an "Orange Crate"?

Not sure- I have several of the kits made up but prefer to put them in myself.
I'll make a decision when I get settled down south.
Bill
