Thanks Jeff, I think the sway bar would be a nice addition down the road. I should have them with the other parts then.

Jack, As far as I can tell the spindle with the hub and caliper is the up grade. Maybe the kingpin. I'm going to see if the Moss catolog shows any other parts.

Oh! I just had a thought out loud. I wonder if the master cyclinder bore is the same?....

There's discussion on the master cylinder point. The drum brake cylinder is 7/8", while the later disc brake cars were 3/4". I've read that the drum brake cylinder can be used with some care in setup, or you can have it sleeved down to 3/4". I've got this upgrade planned at some point, and haven't decided what I'll do for a master yet.

When I was pulling the parts from the 74 MG, I took everything from the shocks to the tie-rods. My remembrance is that you need pretty much the entire front suspension (excluding the shocks), depending on the year of the donor car.

Master cylinder is different. 7/8 vs 3/4. You will get many opinions on how (or if) you can use a 7/8 cylinder with disc brakes. Take those lower A-arms. Maybe between the 4 you end up with you can find two that are decent.

The steering arms are different for 1972+ cars, but I think we covered that in another thread. The kingpins are different too.

Was good to get the shocks as spairs but not needed. I would also think tie rods are the same along with the A frames. Would be susprised if the standard MC was not useable as well.

Will be nice to have an expert on this chime in, so I can get it straight in my mind.

Steering arms and tie rods are not the same, at least with the later cars. Tie rods, ends and steering arms were definitely different from the 74 MG to the Bugeye. Can't say on the lower a-arms, can't be bad to have spares, though.

Shocks were just for use as spares, they seem to be exactly the same as the Bugeye ones.

I have a busted up late model A-arm that has the reinforcement plate in it. I haven't looked yet, but I'm contemplating trying to remove that reinforcing bit and weld it into an early A-arm. I dunno, it may not fit... or I may not be able to get it out without destroying it.

Trevor, it's easier just to make a new plate rather than try to remove an old one. They're only mild steel flat stock.

I'm referring to the stamped bit around the spring pan. The A-arms that came on my sprite do not have those.
