Any pictures of Rx7 E-brake cables?

Hi all,

So I started working on my sprite again. Been a while. And whats really weird is that all the problems I had before are still there. Hummm. I thought maybe they would just go away if I walked away for a while. Anyway, I installed an rx7 axle and all is well except the E-brake. I cobbed something together that I thought might work but it was a miserable fail. So I know it's been done before and would appreciate a picture or a really good explanation on what was done.

The car is a 68 sprite and the axle is the non vented rotor axle.

Thanks for the help.

Go to The Mite.com
. He's got pics of RX-7 Axle in his Sprite. And he got the E-Brake cable to work.

Ok so I looked at the Mite. He uses a mechanical caliper for the E-brake. I'm just using the original Rx7 calipers. So I would still like to see what others have done using the Rx7 stuff.

Thanks

Someone else did this. Was it Brandon/Branson someone in the MidWest dropping a 13B or was it a Toyota or Ztec engine into a Spridget. I seem to recall he fixed by coming in from a different angle. Like swapping L & R calipers or something so that E-Brake cable could come in from the bottom.Check on SpriteSpot.com under Lumps Section. There you'll find a build site for a 20A Toyota Swap and I recall him mentioning issues with E-Brake set up. I do remember E-Brake cable fed from the bottom hence my thought about swapping the rear calipers around. Let me know if that nugget stored in the back of my brain was correct.

I didn't even think of Sprite spot. It was a guy that put the Ztec in. Lots of pictures. I think I might be able to figure something out now.

Thanks for the help!

Another useful nugget from my cluttered brain. Glad I could
help.
