We just finished our annual "Redcoats and Rebels" weekend at Old Sturbridge Village.
Largest historical re-enactment event in New England, mostly centered around the American Revolution. Nearly 1,000 re-enactors portraying British, Hessian, Irish, Welsh, Scottish, French and Colonial troops. Mock battles, cannon demonstrations, fife and drum units, visits to campsites, lectures on late 18th and early 19th century politics, plus our regular New England history interpretations.
