Another Impulse Car Purchase!

Congrats Sammy-- I just wish I had the storage for more toys. I have my 2 "extra" spaces filled with 2 of my favorites and I haven't change my toy cars for almost a year now. If you happen to see a 356 coupe that's not too rusty for a real deal-- lemme know! I had one but it was going to require about 2 grand in rust and structure repair.

Picked up another car last night-- a 1984 Porsche 944. . . This one was advertised for $1500 because the clutch master cylinder is shot ($50 part.) My buddy Adam and I picked it up last night for significantly less than the asking price (a three figure amount!!!)

[/ QUOTE ] I just thought of a great use for your new 944! You only spent half of the allowable $ for a $2006 Grassroots Motorsports Challenge car. Adding $1000 in go-fast parts to that car could make it a winner. How about a nitrous system and slicks for the drag race? Or a supercharger off a 1990 Thunderbird SC? Or take a look at some of the weight-reduction ideas Tony Barnhill came up with for his MGB-GT Challenge car at www.theAutoist.com. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

I like your thinking!!! Of course, my wife certainly doesn't! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
