Another for Andy

...and I'm trying to figure out why my friend Chad posted the ad on an MG site (especially when that MG site has a parallel Triumph site). Regardless, I've known of the car for a number of years now, and know the previous owner. (I also knew the late Mark Joslyn, referenced in that thread as an owner of three -- yes, three -- Sports 6s, very well!)

The last thing I need at the moment is another Sports 6 or two, especially since there's a very, very nice Triumph 2000 sedan on eBay at the moment!

On the other hand, SOMETHING to drive for the next day or so would be nice! Got home tonight, having nursed the Herald along for awhile now with iffy front brakes, and redid the LF wheel cylinders (had several rebuild kits lying about). When I realized I was NOT getting a firm pedal, a bit of exploration soon revealed that the RR wheel cylinder has been relieving itself as well. Having leaks at diagonally opposite corners of a single-master-cylinder system really isn't a good thing; neither is not having any rebuild kits or new rear wheel cylinders on hand! :frown:

or... this one!
Not a Sport 6, and not in the best shape, but it needs love too, just like all the others! :grouphug:

Funny thing is, I had a 2000 sedan for the better part of 30 years. Pretty solid car, actually, but a project nonetheless: the original engine was still in the car but had a hole in the side of the block the size of a bocci ball! Fortunately, it had come with a good spare engine. But life and other cars kept getting in the way, and I never got to doing anything with the car until a friend expressed interest in it and bought it. I know he got it running, but I don't know what he's done beyond that....
