It's not often that you see a car that can be driven as is, except you'll have to tow it home...
 
Wow - last car I had in that condition I sold for 50 quid. If I'd known they were worth that much I'd have held on to it and shipped it over. "Rare RHD" has to be worth an extra $100...

120 k for the purchase, another 250 k to restore it, only 350 k hmmmmmmmm where is my checkbook! {yea right!}
 
Still at that, the Delahaye is a better deal than the Traveller in terms of investment value! I just wish I could figure a way to get a Bugeye tub from Co. to Fl.for a reasonable fee, then I might bid on that!!!!

Nice Delahaye... That car is worth purchasing just for the rarity alone and of course the potential value along with it, now if only I had a million dollars or two kicking around /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

That Morris Minor on the other hand, looks like a good fixer upper, for the right price however...
 
Not sure that later "ended early" one wasn't legit. Listed on overseas eBay by the same seller, and ended when the US sale closed. I think he was trying to sell in 2 places to get the max exposure. But then again... scam is always possible.

Will that car rally be a restoration or will it be a recreation since almost everything will need to be remanufactured?
I suppose my second comment on automotive history was more accurate than my incredulity over the price.
