Ears to bolt heater box to body are about 1/4 inch lower than the bottom of the box. The bottome of the box also has 6 small holes in it, small finishing nail size.

Now what do you supose was in that space? Nothing in the Moss catalog that I can find.

Jack

No nail holes should be there, it s/b a bit lower I have 1/8 inch which is filled with sealeant when box is fitted (4 bolts on ears).

Correction I have two of the units, one no good. Both have 4 small like nail holes. Guess I will find some closed cell foam to fill the space and make a seal.

Hey Jack,
I used door weather stripping for my 78 Midget. It filled the thin gap and worked well.

I can't think what the nail holes are, but there should be a foam gasket the same size and shape as the heater box
