I got 1/2 hour drive today- in between cloud bursts.

What's doing in other parts of Triumphland?

Just put a new master clutch cylinder (again!) in my 6, and it was pouring rain by the time I was through bleeding. So all I did was move it a few inches forward and backward in the garage to make sure all was well!

Hopefully I will get a chance to take her out tomorrow!

Two short test drives today. I got rid of the Grose jets yesterday and reset the floats. Today was tweaking the mixture and sync and test drives.
Nice day, a little windy, 32* expected tonight. Into town tomorrow for fuel.
Happy Motoring !

Funnily enough, yes, for the first time in about 4 weeks. Today was the first day we have not had rain in all that time. Nice dry roads and not too cold.

Good for you, Nick!!

It's getting wintery here as well-
76*F overnight- buuurrrr!

We're heading south tomorrow to Aruba and
other points a tad warmer.

Glad to hear you're out and about.

It was almost 44 degrees here!

I guess I shouldn't mention that it was 80Âş here in San Diego today. Drove the 3 about 50 miles up the coast for a late breakfast--just got back.

Frank - that is one *long* breakfast!

Didn't crack 35* here today. The salt residue won't be gone 'til March or April. No, I didn't drive it today. Y'all gonna have to put this topic on hiatus 'til then, if you don't want to hear what weather in Minnesota is like. :nonod:

Al,

At this time of year, everything is beginning to look grey up here in NE.

Still enjoying the new 5 speed in the TR3.
85 degrees today in Wickenburg, Az. had the car to 4700 rpm in 5th gear (100?) racing a Mazda mx5 on a state road with no one around (luckily no officials). The mx5 owner was so po'd he wouldn't even look at me, some 'old Brit car' smokin his new shinny ride.

I'm with Moseso... Here in Cent Wisconsin we had snow showers today. Yeller is asleep in the garage. I could be on the ice fishing by Thanksgiving. But then again, maybe not.

I had to attend an in-service today- no Spitfire ride today. Tomorrow we'll take the Sptifire to the breakfast drive. Brisk in the morning but comfortable by the time to drive home. T.T.

Hey - another SoCal TR owner. Where did you end up for breakfast? Drop me a line if you ever wander up to OC.

See ya!

It's always driving season here in the 50th State. I finally got the rebuilt head on so back to daily driving in the '74. Two trips to Ford Island to the Pacific Aviation Museum and local errands put 30 miles on the odo - between heavy rainshowers!.

I've also fitted a .75 clutch M/C - clutch operates in the top half of travel with only slightly higher pedal force.

It took me three years of constant restoration before I could drive
my TR6 to the grocery store and not get hauled home on a flatbed.

Hmmm.....never thought until now that the heated Harley gear could be used in LBC with the top down. I'm over 50 so naturally I don't care what people think about how I look. Might even wear mismatched socks too. Have to wire in the correct plug but........... :yesnod:

Good for you. Now didn’t that feel good.. I love to be cruising along and some new shinny set of wheels jumps on my rear bumper and I can stick it. I love it even more when the driver is trying to explain it to himself. The look on his face is priceless. And then what to say to the cute passenger he is trying to impress. Tag. You are it.
