An unsettling new world

I went to the local NAPA store, and wasn't sure about
what size engine my Wife's car had,as I needed an oil filter.
The clerk behind the counter asked "Do you have the license-
plate number or serial number?". That still bothers me that they
can get that much information.

I don't know how many times I've gone to eat breakfast, and
see a family at another table all on their phones,& nobody's talking
to anyone.

That is a perfect example of Einsteins statement. Its not just my generation but all generations nowadays.

I get texts on my phone now I suspect are AI generated. Once. twice a week they always open with "Hi, this is Jason" and go on to talk about wanting to buy my house and how I'm missing out. Ends always with the same use the link to answer a few questions then opt out. Weird thing, because I haven't responded it asked things like is my mental health ok and that they could come down from 200+ miles away, based on the area code, and help me find a mental health professional. Same messages repeat in a look of about a dozen every few weeks. Really weird and I just don't see an actual person doing this, so I suspect my number has been put into some file it uses.

"Jason" seems to send out a lot of those messages. "He" must be quite busy.

Jason?
