You can also check for a current drain by disconnecting the battery terminal and inserting an ammeter between the connections, ignition off. Use a multimeter, not the dashboard ammeter, as the latter is not precise enough. If you see an indication, start disconnecting things until the current drops to zero; that is the circuit with the problem.
A parasitic current drain is not uncommon in these cars. Also, as noted above, the self-discharge rate can become high enough, in an older battery, that it will go flat in a week or so.
