Smart move with the Shroud Rick. But does it work as good laying on its side. I can easily accept that aluminum radiators can work well, ie they are used in most modern cars as well as cylinder heads and even blocks. But to me the question comes down to which one will/can/could work better. I think if our Healey radiators were built to the spec of a Wizzard or a Griffin but in Copper they would out do the aluminum. As it is a recore of the Healey radiator and adding a row is pretty much the equivilant and works quite well, my car as an example. Also for me appearance has a lot to do with it. My car was a very complete car when I bought it albeit needing a restoration. When it came time to provide a radiator, I looked at the one I had and decided it could be made new. I wanted it to look original. Dougie yours looks terrific but still not original. The copper ones can be rebuilt again and again, the aluminum ones you just throw them away. Just ask many with a 10 or 15 year old contemporary car. Or maybe on a newer car go to the dealer for warrenty on a leaking radiator, they just say replace it. Won't even mess with it. Anyway I think it ultimately comes down to just personal preference. In good shape they both work well.
