Our local police department says that something like 90% of all motorcycle crashes occur with riders that have less than 6 months riding experience.

I heard a creepy stat years ago that said it was on their first ride. To add to that I once road my friend's Honda 175 when he brought it by my house. I had never ridden a bike before and he showed me how in the yard. I pulled out into the road without looking either way, becaue I was having trouble. I could have easily been hit.

I still want a bike and may get one one day. But I will be a small one first to learn properly.
