Adjustable camber plates

I'm having to replace the left front shock mounting plate. Before cutting out the old, rusted plate and the awful patch on top, I did take careful measurements. The problem is that where the measurements fall on the new plate just don't look right. Off just a bit. I'm afraid to make everything permanent at this point, becuase the location of the shock determines the camber of the front spindle. A potential solution is to fit adjustable camber shock mounting plates to both sides. This is certainly possible, but expensive. Does anyone have a similar experience? And just where can I get those adjustable mounts?

The camber adjustment fittings are available from Norman Knox, british car specialists out in California. I have the catalog at home, but not here. Email if you want the phone number. They aren't expensive.

Cutlass, When I did mine I tack welded the new plates in and then took the car to a frame repair shop where they set the camber and caster up for me by adjusting the plate locations and sent me home to finish up the remainder of the permanent welding.FWIW---Keoke /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
