Silent Unicorn...changing a color is one thing...putting a bandaid over a problem is another...sure as I plug the green/white wire into the blue some future owner will unplug them & get all messed up...then, I'll be the proverbial DFPO!

I'd vote for E, Mallard Green. Dad's car is New Racing Green, which is about the same shade of BRG as the Mazda Miata limited edition from a couple of years ago. The interior's black now, but used to be Autumn Leaf, and I wish the PO had redone it this color. FWIW, the remaining original paint patches on the car are either white or some beige color (it's a bit dirty to really tell!)

Well, right now this appears to be the trend:

Teal Blue......3 votes
Mallard green.....2 votes
Bedouin...........2 votes
Mirage............1 vote
Bronze Yellow.....1 vote
Black Tulip.......1 vote
Glacier White.....1 vote
Tundra............1 vote (I hope tongue-in-cheek!)
Brooklands green..1 vote

....any late comers?

Tony, If you go green, mallard green is nice. My B is Tundra (olive drab) and the only reason I have this color is it came on the car. Arizona car with no rust. Bob

Actually I had two votes for Mallard green, mine and my wife's. Or does she not count?

Tony, not TNC..I like Tundra, I have only seen two, one was that GT in St Louis that one the rally. Ya just don't see'em. Tundra gets slamed but not Mirage?!?!?

Huh, I find it interesting that you hate the Teal Blue so much. Shoot I get comments all the time how much people like the color. My wife insisted that I get an exact match for the color before I had it re-painted. So, with that in mind paint it teal blue, I'm sure you'll have no problem with resale.

The funny part about life is that everybody likes different things!! As a builder, I get lots of weird commentson projects that we do. One group will just love the colour, and the next group will say 'why did you paint it that colour' or 'who picked that terrible colour??'!! The bottom line, each to his own!! 50% will like it and 50% will hate it, no matter what colour it is!!

JFC....Jerri said the same thing ("Just paint it whatever it was new. That way, you'll sell it. If you paint it your color, you'll want to keep it. I know you, Tony!")

I don't care what color you paint it, if you put it together you'll want to keep it. you never sell anything that has made it into your garage.

That's true, chuck...however, its out in the small garage all by itself...I'm definitely not bringing it into the Garage-mahal!

Plan for the little garage has changed now that "theAutoist Collection" is housed in the Garage-mahal...its 16'x32' with roof 7' at rear....gonna enclose half of front & put large sliding door over other half...we're putting a window in the short end nearest the street & are siding it with western cedar like my house & Garage-mahal...power is coming from the 100amp box in the Garage-mahal...2 cars easily fit in it with plenty of space for disassembly, sand blast box, tools, parts cleaner, air compressor, parts storage shelving, etc....its gonna be my 'restoration shop'...will heat with my big kerosene tube type blower heater

I have to log in in favor of the original Teal Blue. I've had mine for 32 years and have always had compliments. Besides, if YOU don't care for it it will be much easier to sell.

Well, overnight Teal Blue has taken a wider lead:

Teal Blue -6 votes
Mallard Green - 4 votes
Bedouin - 2 votes
&, with 1 vote each:
Bedouin
Mirage
Bronze Yellow
Black Tulip (my favorite!)
Glacier White
Tundra
Brooklands Green

Nah, Ed....not worth the time & money for a car I'm building to sale...I know it was Teal Blue originally & had Autumn Leaf interior (that was the only option for Teal)...somebody who's buying a finished car to drive & enjoy isn't usually interested in the Heritage certificate...a real collector who's gonna build the car himself might want to know that info before he starts if he can't figure it out himself but most guys aren't that interested.
...&, I've learned a few tidbits about the certificates over the years: "Garbage In, Garbage Out"! BL didn't keep real good build records - neither did MG - so, sometimes the certificate has, how shall I say this, less that reliable information as to actual build data...the Heritage uses old facotry files which are full of inaccuracies (&, they are the only records available!)

webshots doesn't usually allow linking to their pics. I'd host them for him if he'd just send them to me
