I really like the new FITECH systems so I may do a mild build on the engine and see what I can come up with. I haven't gotten home to see the car yet but I can hear an exhaust leak on the passenger side so I know that needs to be fixed right off the bat. I also see the vacuum advance disconnected on the distributor. I'm going to probably do a mild performance build on the engine and also swap the TH350 trans for a 200-4r I've got lying around. I want the car to look on the outside and inside, just as it looked in 1971... With the exception that I will probably have the factory looking buick wheels in 17, due to bigger brakes being added. I will redo the interior in black, and will add the buick console to it with the horseshoe shifter. Really just want a nice driving, nice looking car that's reliable enough to get in and drive anywhere and also still lay down the rubber when needed. Previous owner said it has patches put on the frame rails so I'm going to get home and take a look at that. he said it was safe and he'd been driving it for 12 years no problems, but I may just get a good A body frame, hang all new suspension and brakes on it and pull the front end off the car... set everything on the new frame and be good... Then again, that takes me into frame off resto territory and we all know how those can spiral out of control.
