A couple shots from S.E. Asia

Wow, no kidding!
When I did go in it was to the 10th floor where we in the telecom security field would work cases with LEO .The worst aspect of back then was having to make my old boss understand what had happened as his office was in Fla. He had no understanding of how we worked in the northeast. It was quite a shock to him when I brought him to ground zero two weeks after. Smells, sights and the pile...

I can only imagine what an eye opener that must have been.

He's saying "I'm serious - don't mess with me!"
You just never know what people are thinking or what kind of day they are having. The boy may have been bummed out because he was being photographed with a broken zipper.

The shot of that kid was taken on a job we'd called a HaM job: "Hearts and Minds". He'd just had his hair cut, courtesy of USAF barbers. An outlying village where the military would go periodically with a doctor, dentist and barbers to offer services to the villagers. I held that shot out because of the zipper and his expression while leaning against his mom. And because I really liked it. ;)

Grab shot from the back of a truck on a day in the country... motion blur as the ride was a bit rough!

Temple in Bangkok

I'd waited quite a while for someone to walk into the frame for size comparison with that gold Buddha, hoping for a robed monk. The gold statue itself is something like twenty feet high.

Is that real gold leaf?

That was my understanding. The Wat (temple) was undergoing some renovation, bamboo scaffolding surrounded it, so I didn't take many images of the exterior. Haven't found those slides yet.
