I haven't touched it for literally 20 years. Gave the tool to someone else.
I do remember that mine was the external star bolt head, not the pin in the center pain in the tail. I was able to bend a six point box end into shape, a little fitting for the star, weld on a bent extension, & get it to work.
I found that the timing control & knock sensor were & still are working well & keep the timing right on the edge of pinging under all conditions. If I lug it, there are a couple of pings until the timing adjusts. Haven't touched the distributor since.
This Euro V6 is the toughest, most trouble free vehicle I've ever owned. I think it started life as a 60 degree V4 pump motor with internal balancer, added two cylinders, & removed the internal balancer. Still on the second set of plugs at 120,000 miles. The same truck that still has it's original brake fluid, BTW.
