MGB 73 MGB tub value?

I’m trying to figure out what to do. I have a 73 MGB that is a rolling tub/shell. The shell has 72,000 miles and has never been hit. I have a clean title for it also. I was going to restore to sell for fun but I just don’t have the time to get to it. The tub is in very good condition. The sills inner / outer, rockers, doglegs, fenders, front valance and doors are all rust free. The tub has no rust except for the floor pans. Pans are 97% good but do have a few holes the biggest is the size of a dime. My plan was to replace pans just because that’s the way I do things but now that I’m thinking about selling not sure it’s worth replacing.

My first question is what would a rolling shell be worth to someone who wanted to avoid the cost of major rust repair?

My second question should I replace floor pans, patch floor pans, or sell like it is?

On a side note the hood is aluminum and is good as they get. The trunk lid should be replaced because of a large dent that is a true shame because it’s perfect otherwise.

The plus side of selling this project is I would get to keep some cool parts for my B like the OD transmission and lots of new in the box parts.

I had a 79 tub, in pretty solid condition, couldnt give it away, finaly sold it on ebay for 10.00 dollars.

the hood by itself is worth more than the tub, providing its in good condition and you are willing to crate and ship it

Boy that B looks good in white.

First thing you have to do is give a better description of what is on the car. When you say "Rolling Tub", that could mean from a pair of axles to a complete car. Exactly what goes with the tub? One needed part could make a large difference in what your offered. A couple of photos would also help. JMHO. PJ

Post some pics. Too bad an empty transporter was not coming up north. I've a 73 worth of parts & no body.

Is it rolling on Rostyles or wires?
Does it have all its glass?
Does it have all its GT-unique body pieces/brightwork?
Is the wiring harness stil intact?

Again, photos.....& if you separate the hood from the bodyshell, you'd better get everything you can for the hood because you just reduced the value of the bodyshell to almost nothing.

Your real problem is location. The Tampa, FL area is out of the way for anybody except the people around you. & you can't price it based on local values - you've got to price it based on an old bodyshell that has to be transported.

No, if you continue working on it, you might as well finish it.

Where is Brandon, Fla.? North, South? PJ

South kinda by Tampa just north on the coast.
